BBDO, M2M and Channel 4 combined forces to create an extra special ad break that aired in Heston's Christmas Feast on 18 December 2009.
The break opened with an HP spot featuring its Photosmart touchscreen printer. The creative demonstrated the printer's scrolling functionality.
This "scrolling" technique was continued throughout the break as a finger swiped the screen to jump from commercial to commercial. Ads for John Lewis, Chloe, HMV, Waitrose and Guinness were linked by 2-second interstitials from HP.
This compelling creative device allowed viewers to feel as if they'd selected the ads themselves and created stand-out for the brands featured.
The break ends with a longer piece from Hewlett Packard, thanking the other brands for their participation.
