Channel 4 is pleased to announce that Fosters will be the new sponsors of our Original Comedy strand.

The credits are made by 4Creative and will be on air tonight sponsoring the Ricky Gervais Show, and other programmes in the deal include Alan Carr's Chattyman, The Frankie Boyle Show, 8 out of 10 Cats and all the one off Stand Ups. They will also be sponsoring the Comedy Film Season on Film4 over the next couple of weeks.

Mark Given, the Brands Director at Heineken UK has said: "Humour has been enshrined in the DNA of the brand since Foster's was  memorably introduced to UK drinkers by Aussie comedian Paul Hogan and we know comedy plays an important role in the social lives of our core consumers.  Channel 4 broadcasts some of the funniest comedy on TV and we are delighted to be partnering the station in this exciting new initiative." 

The package includes C4, More4, E4, Film4, PC 4oD and online sponsorship on Channel4.com.

The deal was negotiated by Starcom Mediavest and the deal runs up to the end of the year.
