A new, all-female sketch series (5 x 30) featuring the writing and performing talents of four of the UK's celebrated new comedy names, Alice Lowe, Sarah Kendall, Barunka O'Shaughnessy and Clare Thomson.

The four comedy actresses will write and perform everything and will be introducing audiences to their eclectic world of characters as well as sketches rooted in their own personalities.

Siobhan Rhodes, who has been responsible for working with the four performers and developing the project from earliest days said, "Beehive is about women being funny. There isn't enough of that on TV right now. Only Barunka and Alice had met before I introduced Sarah and Clare. It was great to see chemistry immediately and to know that Beehive will be the first result of the introduction of these four unique but complementary talents."

Sophie Clarke-Jervoise added, "Beehive is a very exciting new collaboration between Tiger Aspect Comedy and E4. It's always incredibly rewarding when you bring together comic talent who haven't previously worked with each other, and the fact that these four brilliant performers are creating all the characters, gives the writing a unique mix of silliness and surreal humour."
