The brutalist industrial chic of Tate Modern’s extraordinary new performance art galleries, The Tanks, hosted the 2013 Channel 4 Upfront. 500 of the great and the good from the worlds of advertising and media buying gathered for an afternoon of discussion, debate and entertainment.
The following is a brief account of the day for those of you who couldn’t make it, or who overdid the hedonism and can’t remember the event. (You know who you are – or if you don’t, you really did overdo it...)

Jon Lewis
Jon recently joined Channel 4 from Vevo UK where he was Managing Director and was previously Head of Digital Media & Commercial Partnerships for Channel 5.

Carl Read
Carl joined Channel 4 in May this year bringing a host of digital commercial experience with him. Prior to Channel 4, he was Head of Digital Strategy at MEC.

Mark Cridge
Mark is Director of Consulting at BERG. He has worked in digital since 1995.

Nicola Mendelsohn
Nichola is the President of the IPA and Chairman of advertising agency Karmarama

Jonathan Allan
Jonathan is the Sales Director at Channel 4 with responsibility for the whole Channel 4 Sales portfolio.

David Wilding
David is Head of Planning at PHD in the UK and oversees the agency’s UK planning product.
